Say goodbye to brown spots
The number of these spots increases with age. In fair-skinned children, we call them freckles. Later on, tiny light-brown spots called solar lentigo with up to one centimetre in diameter develop. They are caused by excessive exposure to the sun.
Pigment spots can be seen in 90 per cent of Caucasians above the age of 60, mostly on the face, cleavage and hands. In younger people, they develop as a result of sunburn or repetitive excessive sun-bathing.
At the SKIN centre, we can eliminate the pigment spots using laser treatment, with excellent results. In the elderly, such treatment also results in a more youthful look of the face and hands.
